The Method: Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT-C)
EFT-C is an evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding and addressing the emotional patterns that often cause disconnection in relationships—such as criticism, defensiveness, and withdrawal. By exploring the deeper emotional needs that drive these patterns, we help couples communicate more openly, fostering trust, empathy, and intimacy. We’ll tailor EFT to fit each couple’s unique dynamic, guiding partners through a process of emotional exploration and re-engagement.

How EFTC Helps You Go From Tug-Of-War To Teamwork:
Breaking the Patterns: We’ll identify the cycles causing conflict and give you the tools to express yourselves more effectively.
Understanding Your Dynamics: We’ll look at how past relationships (romantic, familial, and platonic) shape the way you interact with each other.
Digging Into the Tough Stuff: Whether it’s historical pain, trust issues, or power struggles, we’ll process it together.
Identity & Power: Explore your attachment styles and how different factors impact communication and connection.
Session Length & Frequency
Couples sessions are 60 minutes long, with the option to extend to 90 minutes if you’d like more time to explore and connect. To build momentum and create a steady rhythm, we recommend meeting at least once a week.
